Lutheran Church Kevin Sam - Pastor Email Kevin: pastorkevinsam@Gmail.com Kevin grew up on the eastside of Vancouver, BC, and moved to Saskatchewan at age 18 immediately after finishing high school there. After working in small-town Saskatchewan for four years, he attended the University of Ottawa (Ottawa, Ontario) receiving a degree in business administration. He then studied at Regent University (Virginia Beach, Virginia) receiving a joint Master of Arts degree in communications and public policy. Upon completing his studies, he worked in the Greater Toronto Area for five years. Having already sensed God's leading toward ministry for some time, Kevin felt called to enter a discernment process for ministry, and then began his training for ministry. Kevin completed his internship at Messiah Ev. Lutheran Church, Prince Albert, SK, and also his theological studies at the end of 2008, earning a Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Seminary, Saskatoon, SK. He was ordained in April 2009 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, Saskatoon; then began his call here in May 2009 at Redeemer Ev. Lutheran Church, Davidson, SK. Kevin also ministers to Skudesnes Ev. Lutheran Church, a country church 30 minutes west of Davidson. Kevin is married to Alice, and they have a daughter, Julianne. He goes biking and enjoys spending time with his family. As a hobby, Kevin also blogs in his spare time. He would really like to continue with Judo, Karate, or some form of martial arts in the future. He likes the warm climates of California but thinks a little bit of snow good for the soul.
